Biography

James Brantley was born in Philadelphia, PA in 1945. He studied art at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, 1971, the Philadelphia College of Art, 1972, and the University of Pennsylvania, 1973. He won the Hallgarten Prize from the National Academy of Design and the Louis Fine Purchase Award from the Pennsylvania Academy of Art.
