Biography

Ellen Tiberino, born in 1974, specializes in fine custom mosaic and ceramic art. She describes her work as “painting with glass.”  Tiberino is a part of Philadelphia’s “first family of art.” The artist is influenced by her love of nature, travel, and family.

Tiberino has exhibited her work in galleries in both Philadelphia and New York. Her accolades include the Mural Arts’ Neighborhood Time Exchange Residency in 2018, and the Philadelphia Fellowship for Black Artists in 2020. Tiberino has held multiple workshops for various organizations, including the Mural Arts programs and the People’s Emergency Center. Tiberino’s art has also been featured in the new TV show “Bel-Air” on Peacock.
