Biography

O’Neil Scott (b. 1982) is a self-taught, Pennsylvania-based oil painter known for his portraits and social commentary. Born in Spanish Town, Jamaica, he moved to the U.S. at age five and grew up in New Jersey. Scott attended Syracuse University and earned a degree in Information Systems and Technology. He later earned an MBA from the University of Delaware but continued to pursue painting on his own, studying the Old Masters and attending workshops.

His work has been shown in galleries across Philadelphia and beyond, and he has been featured in Fine Art Connoisseur, American Art Collector, and Artist Magazine. In 2025, he will have a major solo museum exhibition at the Zillman Art Museum in Maine. His paintings are held in private collections in the U.S. and internationally.
